Dubai-based integrated facilities management (FM) company, Imdaad has launched a new biofuel station in Dubai.
The station will provide an eco-friendly source of fuel to run Imdaad’s waste compactor trucks.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of the eleventh edition of the FM Expo.
Located within the company’s facility in Jebel Ali, the biofuel tank has been provided by Lootah Biofuels, a supplier chosen by Imdaad based on their extensive experience in the alternative fuel sector.
The tank will be routinely inspected and maintained by Trakhees, the regulatory arm of Dubai’s Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation with a dedicated Environment, Health and Safety department.

It is critical that our practices remain aligned with conservation of the ecosystem and communities that are impacted by industrial activities.”
Imdaad’s efforts are also in line with UAE’s Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to increase clean energy use from 25% to 50% and reduce carbon footprint during power generation by 70% over the next three decades.
