Link-Belt Cranes has appointed the EGYMEC Engineering Company, a Cairo-headquartered division of the El Didi Group (EDG), as its distributor and comprehensive service provider for Egypt.

EDG is a diversified equipment trading business that was established in 1984 as the sole agent of Soilmec and Drillmec in the MENA region, but which now represents 35 plant, machinery and equipment manufacturers and maintains 18 facilities worldwide.

“El Didi’s Group philosophy has always been to exceed the customer’s product support expectations,” said Abdel Fattah El Didi, founding chairman and CEO of El Didi Group.

“Link-Belt’s product has a good reputation in Egypt, and we will compliment this. When we represent a brand, our mission is to position it in the front line, and our track history shows that we have succeeded in doing so with other brands in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and UAE.”

Over the decades, EDG has provided machines for use in foundation and drilling work across the Middle East, and serves the construction, drilling, mining, transportation and renewable energy sectors.

Link-Belt Cranes is headquarters in Lexington in the State of Kentucky, USA, and is a manufacturer of a variety of telescopic boom and lattice boom cranes for the worldwide construction industry.
