Case president and CEO Jim McCullough said Intermat has been a successful event for the company and that continuing the firm’s presence at the exhibition was the right move.
“We’ve had a respectable show and we’ve been busy all week. There has been plenty of activity,” he said.
McCullough said the firm’s distribution network responded well to the exhibition and added: “We’ve had an excellent turnout from our dealers and from the Middle East, in particular, as well as Eastern Europe and Northern Europe.”
The French market is highly important for Case, McCullough said. “Case has got a long history in France and at Intermat. For many years this has been one of my favourite shows.”
New Holland is developing its sales capabilities on the internet with the setting up of its new website.
The firm intends to boost its sales and service support through the new website, which now offers video capabilities and guide prices on machines so potential customers can estimate the daily ownership costs of various machines.
The website also has comprehensive information on machine specification as well as rental market machines and attachment options. Another Internet option is the firm’s ‘web university’, which provides on-line training capabilities and a strong knowledge base for dealers, owners and operators.
Meanwhile, heavy-duty version of its 21 tonne class 215B demolition machine. The E385B is offered with a high reach of 21m, while the larger E485B has a reach of 25m. Both machines can be specified with additional features.
