A new control system has boosted the top speed of Bobcat’s T110.
Now a steady 13.5kph, the manufacturer claims its unit is now the ‘fastest compact tracked loader in this class on the market’.
The 55% increase in speed is made possible by Bobcat’s Selectable Joystick Control (SJC) option, which has been developed to get faster cycle times between dig and dump sites, as well as speedier transit from one jobsite to another.
Other control enhancements include a speed management system (SMS), which allows the operator to match travel speed to job. The SMS can be used to pre-set the speed desired when working with specific attachments such as tillers and trenchers.
The new controls also mean the operator can choose between hand-operated or foot-operated control of the engine speed.
The Bobcat T110 is a 2.3 tonne compact tracked loader, driven by a four cylinder, 31.2 kW Kubota V2403 naturally aspirated diesel engine running at 2200 rpm. Equipped with 250 mm wide rubber tracks, the T110 has a low ground pressure of only 0.32 kg/cm² (31.7 kPa).
