German construction equipment company, Sennebogen, has introduced its new Vario Tool. The device will allow operators to switch between attachment devices for the new Green Line 830 D-series material handling machines.
Vario is a hydraulic quick-change system with automatic coupling of all connections. From the cab the operator can switch between attachments including a hanging curved insert for grabber attachment; reversing insert for attaching sorting/breaking grabbers, shear attachment – for shears from other manufacturers – as well as a complete package with LaBounty shear MSD2000R.
A magnetic cable for the magnet plate attachment can also be integrated in the quick-connect coupling. All hydraulic and electrical connections are made with the push of a button, increasing operational productivity and flexibility.
The unique coupling mechanism with surround protection, and a 12mm steel flap, ensure a leak-free and wear-free connection and optimal protection against dust and contamination whether coupled or not. The attachments can be picked up from the ground and put back down on the ground – no blocks or supports are necessary.
The new quick-change coupling can be connected on either side, even under working pressure. Large-dimension hydraulic cross-sections guarantee full transmission capacity with no loss. The Sennebogen tool control ensures optimal actuation of the various tools by programming hydraulic quantity and pressure settings. By separating control of the mechanical and hydraulic connections, overlaps or influences to the connection are prevented.
The three-fold centring of the connection between the jaw and the insert ensures a high degree of safety. Acoustic signals support the operator and guarantee a perfect latch, according to the company.
