Euro Auctions' expansion into Abu Dhabi is a strategic move to grow its international presence, leveraging on the city's location and KEZAD Group's connectivity to major markets

Euro Auctions Group, operators of auction sites for industrial plants, construction equipment and agricultural machinery, has announced the establishment of its largest auction house in the UAE. The new facility spans over 43,000 m2 and is equipped to handle all aspects associated with the sale of industrial plants, construction and agricultural machinery, from transportation to minor repairs.

By collaborating with Abu Dhabi Customs and Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD Group), Euro Auctions will also have a proportion of the yard categorised as a bonded warehouse, offering import and export customers the same advantages as a freezone operation.

Richard Sweatt, General Manager of Euro Auctions in Abu Dhabi, expressed his pleasure in collaborating with KEZAD Group and choosing Abu Dhabi to establish the company’s largest regional auction site.

“This move provides Euro Auctions with massive strategic advantages in the region. For UAE customers, this means they no longer have the documentation requirements to deliver and collect equipment from the auction site, and they will also have easy access to come and inspect the stock prior to auction day,” he added.

The first auction at the new Abu Dhabi facility will take place on 4 May 2023, and Euro Auctions is currently accepting consignments for the auction.

As a leading auctioneering company for heavy equipment, Euro Auctions operates worldwide with eight sites across England, Northern Ireland, Germany, Spain, Australia, the United States, and the UAE. As such, Euro Auctions’ expansion is a significant move towards the strategic sector’s growth. Moreover, Sweatt noted that the company looks forward to growing its international footprint, thanks to Abu Dhabi’s strategic location and KEZAD Group’s streamlined and cost-effective connectivity to major markets.
