Ginco General Contracting has been awarded a significant contract worth 1 billion UAE dirhams ($272 million) by Dubai South Properties for the construction of the initial stages of the South Bay master development.
The contract entails the construction of the initial phases of the South Bay master development, located in the Residential District of Dubai South.
South Bay comprises 800 villas and townhouses, over 200 waterfront mansions, a 1-kilometer-long crystal lagoon, and over three- kilometers of waterfront promenade.
The project is set to be completed by the first quarter of 2026.
According to Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, the first two phases of the project have already been completely sold out since its announcement last year.
The Residential District, where the project is situated, also includes amenities such as a British Curriculum school, public parks, sports courts, retail shops, a Lulu hypermarket, a mosque, a petrol station, and a public bus route connecting the district to the Expo Metro station.
The statement also mentioned that the Pulse project in the Residential District has already handed over 5,000 apartments and townhouses. Currently, Dubai South is home to a population of over 25,000 residents.
