Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has launched the Velia Ex range range mid-to-high-level order pickers. The Velia Ex includes a heavy-duty, 48-volt model which offers a 1250 kg capacity.
Its wide entry and low step height of 215 mm provides easy access, and grab handles offer added security when entering/exiting the platform. A super-grip material covering the handles minimises the risk of slips and falls.
Further protection is provided by an operator presence sensor (OPS), which removes the need for a dead man’s switch, a common trip hazard. Because OPS covers a wide area, operators have freedom of movement within the cabin, thus reducing risk of fatigue and delays. Furthermore, the VisionMast and overhead guard, with clear-view forward panels and roof, maximises the operator’s field of vision.
Velia Ex’s AC motor provides high drive speed and acceleration. According to Mitsubishi, the ECO mode allows employers to reduce their energy consumption by 12% without affecting the machine’s performance.Â
