Kuwait-based equipment rental and logistics service provider Jassim Transport & Stevedoring Co. K.S.C.C. (JTC) has put a new Demag CC 3800-1 lattice boom crawler crane into service. The CC 3800-1 was put to work immediately after delivery for the lift operation of a heat exchanger as part of a large-scale oil and gas project.
With a lifting capacity of 650 tonnes at a radius of twelve meters and a maximum load moment of 9,152 tonne-meters, the Demag CC 3800-1 is strong enough, for example, to erect wind turbines with a hub height of up to 117 meters without the need for a Superlift system.
Adel Kohari, CEO, JTC, said: “The CC 3800-1 enhances JTC’s lifting capabilities over our Demag CC 2200, and this will put us in a position to meet the needs of our customers in the oil and gas industries even better in the future.”
