Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) will showcase the largest tyre the company has ever built, at the bauma 2019 expo. The Earthmax SR 46 tyre for rigid dump trucks, which was previously available in the 49’’ version, will be showcased with a new size – 33.00 R 51 with diameter 3.075m, width 9.75m, and weight 2,400kg.
With high cut-and-chip resistance, the Earthmax SR 46 is suitable for transporting heavy loads in mines, dams, and construction sites of large building structures. A steel-belted casing minimises impacts, mechanical stress, and punctures. A distinguishing feature of the Earthmax SR 46 is the tread design showing a block lug pattern with circumferential grooves, which reduces wear of its external parts and improves cornering performance.
