Al-Bahar has launched the Cat GC range across its markets, starting with two models: the 950 GC wheel loader and 330 GC excavator.
According to Al-Bahar, the GC range is targeted at customers looking for machines that are simple, durable, fuel efficient and easy to use.
Samer Ismail, product manager – earthmoving & excavation, Al-Bahar, said: “In addition to high-performance machines, there’s market demand for simple, fuel-efficient machines, which could further reduce owning and operating costs. Some of our existing customers demand a product range at a different price point, without compromise on the Cat brand promise, quality and after-sales support.”
“The GC range offers the capacity to move more material in less time, at a lower cost per ton, and thus, enables a faster return on equipment investment. The low acquisition and operating costs contribute significanlty to the total cost of ownership. Built as per the Cat production system standards, the GC range is best-in-class machines that come with the standard Cat brand promise of durability and reliability. Moreover, with the extensive support of Al-Bahar’s dealer network and services with Cat Genuine Parts, the GC models promise new opportunities to optimize businesses by making it easy for customers to own, operate, and service the machines,” he added.

The 950 GC wheel loader
With a complete new design leveraging proven Cat components and technology, the 950 GC is is purpose-built to get everyday jobs done at quarries, sand-and gravel pits, coal operation and construction job-sites.
The Cat 950 GC comes with performance series buckets; Z-bar linkage for better bucket loading; and load sensing hydraulics for better balance. Powered by the Cat C7.1 engine, it has an engine idle management system, which minimizes fuel consumption. Load sensing hydraulics produce flow and pressure for the implement system upon demand and only in amounts necessary to perform the needed work functions.
Samer said: “Reliable performance, low fuel consumption and ease of operation are the main attributes of the 950 GC. It is a very heavy-duty machine and works well for applications in our region. Therefore, it is the machine of choice for a customer who doesn’t need all the technology and options that come with the 950L, but requires an easy-to-use machine with lower acquisition costs. The 950 GC is also an exceptional choice for governmental bids, offering agencies a well-designed, durable machine that fits their budgets.”
The 330 GC excavator
The 330 GC is suited to operations where high reliability and low-cost-per-hour performance are priorities. The combination of larger hydraulic pumps, an electronic main control valve, and electronically controlled cooling fans in the 330 GC allows it to deliver high performance while burning less fuel. Additionally, it is equipped with two modes to help manage fuel consumption for specific applications.
Other highlights of 330 GC include ISO-certified rops cab, all-around visibility, touchscreen monitor, keyless push start, fewer connections, less hose and ground-level daily maintenance.
Samer said: “The new ‘smart mode’ of the 330 GC automatically matches engine speed and hydraulic power to provide the highest fuel efficiency in any application. The machine also lowers maintenance costs with extended and more synchronized maintenance intervals.”
