Case Construction Equipment has enjoyed a good start to 2014, with noticeably improved sales figures since December of last year.
This is largely the result of steps taken during 2012 and 2013, according to Dragan Krznaric, Middle East director for the manufacturer’s parent company CNH.
“We are only part way through the first quarter of 2014, but the signs are very good,” he told PMV. “Of course, it’s still too early to predict definite numbers, but things are looking positive compared to the equivalent periods of the last three years.
“Case has certainly benefitted from measures that we have implemented during recent years, but the total industry trend has also put the wind in our sails,” Krznaric continued. “The numbers that we are currently achieving are indicative of an upwards swing in the global construction market.”
Case will be launching and updating a number of its construction equipment lines at the Las Vegas trade show. The manufacturer will also be introducing its new Tier 4 technology. While these engines will not be introduced to the Middle East immediately due to the region’s relaxed emissions standards, the machines themselves will be available globally.
“Case is going to have a good presence at CONEXPO,” said Krznaric. “In addition to the full launch of our M Series bulldozers, we’ll be showcasing the breadth of our range. Case’s new models will be available globally, but tailored according to regional standards.”
Krznaric and his colleagues are also confident that the Las Vegas trade show will provide a stage that befits the manufacturer’s international ambitions.
“Case is a global manufacturer with a broad array of construction machinery,” he said. “Upwards of 85% of market needs can be met by our equipment range. We have aspirations to become the number-one manufacturer in the world. Shows such as CONEXPO offer exposure, whilst providing opportunities to meet with end users, local dealers, journalists, and even our competitors.”
However, once the show is over, Krznaric and his colleagues will return to the day-to-day task of maintaining and improving the level of service offered to their customers.
“We will focus on strengthening the capacity and capability of our dealer network in order to support Case customers,” he concluded. “Our main priority will be to build upon the successes that have already been achieved in this regard. In terms of products, we would like to continue to increase the market share of Case’s heavy range in line with the company’s global development strategy.”
