Chicago Pneumatic has extended its range of walk-behind double-drum rollers with the introduction of the MR7005.

The manufacturer’s latest model, which includes automatic hydraulic brakes and a built-in hydraulic oil cooler, has been designed to offer an extended lifetime in tough operating conditions.

Commenting on the MR7005’s introduction, Andrzej Mroziński, Chicago Pneumatic’s spokesperson for light compaction equipment, said: “We have designed our new double-drum walk-behind roller to address customers’ demands for safer, robust, and reliable construction equipment that can operate seamlessly in tough and hot working environments.

“The MR7005 is powerful yet simple to handle, with its built-in hydraulic oil cooler reducing wear on vital components,” he added.

The roller’s automatic hydraulic breaks respond when pressure drops, thus ensuring operators remain protected. Conversely, if the pressure increases, the brakes are automatically released.

The MR7005 is equipped with a vibration-reducing handle so that users are not exposed to high hand/arm (H/A) vibration levels.

With its flip-out hood, the unit has been designed to offer operators easy access to the battery and service points. Scrapers have been installed to prevent material from sticking to the drums, reducing the amount of maintenance required.

The Chicago Pneumatic MR7005 is suitable for compacting thin layers on granular soils and asphalt. The model will be available throughout the manufacturer’s worldwide distributor network.
