Stiebel-Getriebebau has established its first GCC branch under the name Stiebel Industries.

The German industrial engine manufacturer took the decision to open its latest facility, which is located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, in the wake of increased regional demand from the bulk materials handling sector.

The UAE branch will allow Stiebel Industries to offer improved customer service in the Middle East, according to the company.

Commenting on the move, Paul Hermann Schumacher, managing director of Stiebel-Getriebebau, said: “Of course we are pleased about the discernible increase in the number of orders in the bulk handling sector. At the same time, this means that we need to further improve our services and our commitment in this area to the benefit of our customers.

“Our new branch in Ras Al Khaimah means that we will have a team of specialists on the spot, which will allow us to provide our services with high-quality Stiebel service in the sector of drive technology for bulk goods for clients in the Middle East,” he noted.

Stiebel Industries’ GCC branch will supplement its parent company’s overseas subsidiaries in China and the United States.

“The closer proximity to customers [in the GCC] also results in shorter lead times, which means that the drive technologies can be made available for use much sooner,” Schumacher concluded.
