The FAMCO UAE Construction Equipment team has qualified to compete in the grand final of the Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) Masters.

The final, which will take place in Sweden in September, will see the eight highest-scoring teams from Volvo CE’s distributor network compete for the crown of best aftersales provider.

The FAMCO UAE team is one of just two finalists from the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Of the 43 countries that went head to head during the regional stage, teams from the UAE and Sweden progressed to the last leg.

Commenting on the success of the FAMCO UAE team, Mark Johnson, the firm’s regional general manager for aftersales, said: “We encourage all of our aftersales associates working with Volvo CE to participate in the Masters competition.

“Volvo CE Masters is an excellent opportunity for our team to enhance their technical and customer support skills through individual and team-based assignments in a competitive and fun environment. Active participation benefits everyone: the individual, FAMCO, Volvo CE, and most importantly, the customer, by providing more efficient and accurate diagnostic and repair procedures.”

The Volvo CE Masters competition was launched in 1990, and seeks to recognise service and parts personnel for aftersales excellence. In the initial rounds, individuals compete at a dealership level, answering theoretical questions online. Winners then compete as teams in theoretical and practical tests as the competition progresses through national, hub, and regional rounds.

The FAMCO UAE team comprises team leader Hani Hafiz, in addition to Joseph George, Ranjith Balan, and Paul Mathew.

“We are very proud of FAMCO’s history of success in the competition, which continues thanks to our current team,” said Johnson. “We support them and wish them every success in the final.”
