Mobile Cranes Asia (MCA) has ordered three Demag AC 220-5 all-terrain cranes from Terex Cranes.

The deal marks Terex Cranes’ first Demag delivery to Asia since it relaunched the brand last year.

MCA, a long-standing Terex Cranes distributor, took delivery of the first Demag unit during a ceremony at bauma China 2016. The handover was attended by senior officials from both the Singapore-headquartered equipment dealer and Terex Cranes Asia.

Commenting on the deal, Rodney Chang, president of MCA, said: “Customers expressed a lot of interest in the Demag product over the past several months leading up to the show.

“The Demag brand’s rebirth has gotten the attention from customers who want the highest quality and innovative equipment.”

The Demag AC 220-5 all-terrain crane is the first unit to be launched in Asia since the brand’s relaunch in 2016. The model was unveiled by Norbert Dudek, vice president of Terex Cranes Asia.

Demag’s new-generation product line-up comprises 13 all-terrain cranes, with capacities ranging from 55 tonnes to 1,200t; and seven lattice-boom crawler cranes, with capacities ranging from 400t to 3,200t.
