Finland’s Elematic Oyj is to supply production technology for use at RAK Precast’s Dubai factory.
The UAE-headquartered manufacturer of precast concrete elements will use Elematic Acotec Pro technology to produce non-load bearing interior precast wall panels.
RAK Precast has also invested in Elematic’s EliSlab 2.0 tool, which can be used for structural calculations relating to hollow-core slabs.
Curt Lindroth, Elematic’s area sales director, commented: “We are delighted to have this possibility to continue our long-term relationship with RAK Precast, with the delivery of this new Acotec Pro line and the EliSlab 2.0 structural analysis tool for their hollow-core slab production.
“Prior to this deal, we have successfully supplied [RAK Precast with] a concrete transportation system and machinery for their wall production factory in [Dubai Industrial Park].”
The capacity of the Elematic Acotec Pro system that will be installed at RAK Precast’s Dubai factory is 100m2 per hour. The production line will cover the entire manufacturing process, from concrete batching to storage yard management.
Elematic’s EliSlab 2.0 structural analysis software, meanwhile, has been designed to make hollow-core calculations faster and easier, according to the manufacturer.
Under the terms of the agreement, RAK Precast will become the exclusive producer and supplier of Acotec panels in the UAE and Omani markets.
