Yale launches counterbalance truck for low-intensity applications

Yale Europe Materials Handling has expanded its UX Series product range with a new 4-5t counterbalance truck, the GDP40-50UX, designed for industries with less frequent materials handling needs.

Yale has used high quality, robust components in the design of the GDP40-50UX truck to improve its reliability. This is further enhanced through efficient filtration and cooling of the truck, resulting in lower wear and tear. The simplicity of the truck’s components makes it easy to be serviced and maintained at the site of operation, with just a limited toolset required.

The ergonomically designed operator compartment features a familiar automotive layout for the driver, helping them to work comfortably and confidently. Excellent visibility of the load and the surrounding environment is key to efficient operations, which is achieved with a wide view mast. The GDP40-50UX’s high strength overhead guard enhances protection of the driver during operation.

Some applications may require a truck to operate in confined spaces; this is no issue for the new UX Series counterbalance truck, which is fitted with a small steering wheel that offers optimum manoeuvrability.

The spacious footwell and control pedals with extra foot space within the new UX Series counterbalance truck reduces operator fatigue, while a full suspension seat also contributes to a productive working environment.

The truck is built to suit a variety of operators, from the low step height enabling easy access to the cab at all times to the adjustable steering wheel with eight degrees of tilt.
