Video: Bauma 2019 facts and figures
Bauma 2019 in Munich, Germany, features 18 halls and an overall exhibition space of 614,000m², an increase of 9,000m2 over the previous edition in 2016. The exhibition space of Bauma 2019 is larger than the smallest town in Germany, the 450,000m2 Arnis in Schleswig-Holstein. The construction of two new halls – C5 and C6 – has increased the total number of halls to 18 and the total indoor space to 200,000m2. The largest sector – construction machines and attachments – has been expanded from four to five halls and an outdoor area, directly adjacent to the hall complex. For the first time, a selfie tower will be available in the north-east outdoor area. Built from 24 shipping containers, it offers visitors a 54m2 viewing platform at a height of 22m. The top 5 exhibiting countries are Germany (1,269 exhibitors); Italy (549 exhibitors); Turkey (189 exhibitors); UK (133 exhibitors); and USA (126 exhibitors). Exhibitors with the largest areas are Liebherr with 14,401m2, Wirtgen Group with 12,960m2, and Caterpillar with 11,237m2. Liebherr took 160 days to build and erect its three-floor booth. Work began on October 30, 2018. Liebherr brings 1,500 employees to the expo, followed by the Wirtgen Group with 800 employees, and Doka with 650 employees.
