Pictures: 330-tonne tower crane installed by The Men From Marr’s constructs the world’s longest suspension bridge in Turkey

Australian crane company Marr Contracting Pty Ltd (The Men From Marr’s) has completed an engineering feat with its 330-tonne capacity tower crane lifted into location fully-assembled to assist in the construction of the ‘1915 Çanakkale Bridge’, the world’s longest span suspension bridge in Turkey.

The unprecedented lift has seen the first of two of Marr’s M2480D Heavy Lift Luffers (HLL) lifted in one piece – which, at 600 tonnes is the first time a crane of this size has been lifted fully-assembled.
